I'm not sure what video card type I have exactly I know that there is a 512 dedicated Graphics card of some type because I have taken several of these computer types apart in the past. Thanks for your help but I think I am up against a wall. I also have access to a new video card if I need it (pain the butt to install though). I ran the render test and it said that Version 1.2 was partially supported.ĭoes anyone know of a way around this? I have an XPS One A2420 computer if it makes a diference. I used OpenGL extention Viewer to check the status of my OpenGL and it said under the OpenGL tab "Version 1.1". I haven't found any for the driver issue yet everyone with it just winds up rolling their driver back and making do. So I went browsing the web for solutions. I installed vista 32bit and no change the minute I update the driver down goes the video. I'm working with 64bit Windows 7 so I thought it might just been a compatibility problem with my OS. How hard can that be? Well as it turns out the new version of video driver I need has some sort of unresolved error in it and when you install it on certain computers you loose your video feed. No problem! I just need to update my video drivers. : Pixel format not acceleratedĪt .nChoosePixelFormat(Native Method)Īt .choosePixelFormat(WindowsPeerInfo.java:52)Īt .createWindow(WindowsDisplay.java:185)Īt .createWindow(Display.java:311)Īt .create(Display.java:856)Īt .create(Display.java:784)Īt .create(Display.java:765)Īt .a(SourceFile:294)Īt .run(SourceFile:716) VM: Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (mixed mode, sharing), Sun Microsystems Inc. This can usually be fixed by updating the video card drivers. Minecraft was unable to start because it failed to find an accelerated OpenGL mode.
